The first issue of the weekly comic was published on October 28th, 1952. From the 1960s, production of the comic diminished in the U.S., which meant that European countries, including the Netherlands, decided to take over production. Today, Donald Duck is one of the biggest successes in publication of our country, with a circulation of 200,000 copies per week.
In the Museum of Comic Art in Noordwijk, they are celebrating the happiest weekly magazine in the Netherlands. More than 50 original drawings by more than 30 cartoonists are on display. A celebration for all ages!
