To provide independent verification of Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin’s sustainability efforts, we work with two external organisations. Their assessments provide external insight into our approach to sustainability.

One of the organisations we work with is EarthCheck, a sustainability certification and benchmarking programme for the travel and tourism industry. As part of the certification process, the hotel is independently audited against the EarthCheck Company Standard. The audit assesses the hotel against a range of criteria related to its sustainability practices. In addition, Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin prepares annual documentation outlining its sustainability policy and approach.

In March 2026, Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin achieved EarthCheck Gold Certification for the second consecutive year.
