Breakfast

When you have booked a stay including breakfast, you will receive a richly filled picnic basket with beautiful products. This basket will be served in your room so you can have a relaxed start of the day.

International breakfast buffet
As an alternative we serve an international breakfast buffet in our breakfast room. The buffet has a wide variety of food items and of course we keep an eye on all COVID-measurements. For the service in the restaurant and the variety of items we add a surcharge of EUR 12,50 per person to your account. To have a safe and well spread arrival of our guests we have made a timetable to start your breakfast and kindly ask you to book your breakfast table in advance.

If you have booked a stay excluding breakfast, we will charge EUR 22,50 per person if you choose for the picnic basket. In case you prefer the international breakfast buffet in the breakfast room we will charge EUR 35,00 per person.

For guests up to 12 years there is a special Breakfast Box available. In the breakfast restaurant we have a special selection for our youngest guests. If you book a night without breakfast, there is a special price of EUR 17,50 for breakfast for children aged 4 -12. We do not charge breakfast for children aged 0 – 3.


The restaurants of Huis ter Duin

Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin has colourful palette of restaurants and lounges: Brasserie La Terrasse, Van Diepeningen Lounge, Restaurant Latour and Breakers Beach House. The four establishments, each with their own identity and menu, have one thing in common: to surprise you in every way. We are allowed to welcome 50 guests per shift. We therefore ask you to book in advance to avoid disappointment.

There is no accounting for taste, which is why we appreciate it when you dress appropriately in our  restaurants, bars and lounges. This means that a bare body or swimwear is not allowed on the terraces and in the restaurants.

Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin offers a wide range of in-house delivery options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We therefore appreciate it if you order from us rather than from third parties. For third party orders we charge a surcharge of EUR 30.00 per room per delivery. We do not facilitate the heating/preparation of meals from third parties.

Patisserie Huis ter Duin
It is a feast for the eyes, but also a real treat for the mouth. For more than 25 years, Huis ter Duin has had its own patisserie. From delicious chocolates to fresh pastries and festive cakes. All these sweets can be ordered in advance via the webshop.

Oops… an empty minibar
Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin says no to wasting food. Therefore you will find an empty minibar on arrival. Would you like a filled minibar? Check out our minibar packages. These can be ordered in advance or during your stay.

National Park Dutch Dunes
Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin is located in the Hollandse Duinen National Park. This nature reserve offers a diverse landscape with beautiful routes for walking or cycling. Here you will find more information about our bicycle rental service.


Spa & Beauty

The Health Centre team is happy to welcome you for a relaxing treatment, in accordance with the measures of the Dutch government. In order to be able to enforce these rules properly, we have divided the use of the MC Fitness centre, the sauna and the Turkish steam bath into different shifts. Ask our Front Office staff about the possibilities.

The swimming pool is open from 07.00 till 21.00 hrs. Between 10.00 and 19.00 we welcome children up to 16 years with accompaniment. Before and after that time, we welcome guests over 16 years of age.


Check in

On entering the building, you will see that we have taken various hygiene and security measures in the reception area. The check-in capacity has been reduced by these measures. If you inform us in advance about relevant matters concerning your stay, you will make a valuable contribution to a smooth check-in. Valet parking is not available at the moment.

The hotel uses a credit card authorization during check-in. An amount is hereby authorized on your credit card. This serves as a guarantee during your stay and offers you the possibility to have your expenses booked on the “room account”. The actual settlement of your expenses takes place at check out via the credit card that we have authorized.

If you do not have a credit card, it is possible to make a down payment via pin or cash. At the start of the stay you must pay all room nights, parking costs, tourist taxes and any extras including a deposit of €100 per person per night. This also offers you the possibility to have your expenses booked on the “room account”.

To avoid queues at check out, we offer an express check out.  If you have issued your credit card including an authorisation or a guarantee to cover your stay and expenses, you can make use of Express check- out To do this, you can place your room cards, including a cover with the room number, in the express check- out Box at the Front Office desk. Your authorisation will be converted into a payment. When you have paid a deposit at the start of your stay, this deposit will be refunded to the same card that was used to make the payment. As soon as the payments and invoices have been processed by Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin, you will receive the invoice by e-mail.


Safety and hygiene measures

Your safety and the safety of our staff is paramount. We have taken extra measures with regard to hygiene. Inspired by the RIVM guidelines and our common sense, we do everything we can to ensure that safety and hospitality run parallel. More information can be found on our website www.huisterduin.com.
